Cass and I enjoyed a weekend full of music, gorgeous and fanciful costuming, artistry in all forms, and best of all – being surrounded by people who are warm, welcoming, and playful.
It felt like being invited into a familiar family and then being adopted on the spot, as if this is a normal thing that happens here. Social media posts are full of the sentiment that instead of just a weekend, all of life should be more like FaerieWorlds.
The 2015 FaerieWorlds will be at a new location, and one that many are excited over. The date being changed to Labor Day weekend has had mixed response, with many unable to attend due to commitments elsewhere, such as Burning Man. However, there is hope that 2016 will have both a date and a location that allows the whole “trybe” to gather again.
Visit the FaerieWorlds site for the picture gallery and video to get an idea of what this even looks like. To truly know, however, requires that you show up.
